When are applications for RI Ready being accepted?

The application portal will be open soon, please return in January 2022 to apply.

Is there an application fee?

Yes, an application fee of $1500 is due to RI Ready with the submission of your application. A check can be mailed to: Rhode Island Ready c/o Quonset Development Corporation, 95 Cripe Street, North Kingstown, RI 02852.

If my site is not accepted for enrollment in the program, can I resubmit my application?

Enrollment is based on development feasibility.  If your site is not enrolled, you may be eligible to reapply if the obstacles to development feasibility can be resolved, for example, if the site requires and undergoes a zoning district change.

Will there be an interview as part of the application process?

It is not anticipated that there will be a formal interview process prior to enrollment.  However, as part of the development feasibility review, it is likely that Program staff will be in touch with the applicant to discuss the application while the applicant is expected to be accessible and transparent throughout the RI Ready process.

What are examples of marketing services offered?

Once properties are issued their Pre-Permitted Certificate, the site will be promoted to potential commercial tenants through traditional, digital, and social media.
